What a fantastic wrap-up to our CREW Portland Future Leaders event season!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our site tour of Taylor’s Ferry Homes and our mentee send-off celebration. We had an incredible time exploring the 17-home affordable housing development in progress and learning directly from the teams at Habitat for Humanity Portland Region and Ink Built Architecture. Seeing how creative design solutions, site-sensitive planning, and volunteer labor come together to build accessible, community-focused homes was truly inspiring.

We wrapped up the evening with great food, drinks, and conversation at Holy Taco as we celebrated our amazing mentees and everything they accomplished this season.

Thank you to Habitat for Humanity, Ink Built Architecture, and everyone who came out to make our final event such a success. Stay tuned for what’s coming up next season!

What does it really take to go from observer to investor in commercial real estate?

CREW Portland recently hosted CREW Network's program, From Observer to Investor: Part 2, bringing together newer and aspiring investors for a practical look at how to evaluate real-world CRE opportunities with greater confidence.

Through simplified case studies and guided walkthroughs, the expert panel made up of Beth Azor, Traci Miller, and Lauren Rothlisberger broke down how to read an Offering Memorandum, understand key underwriting assumptions, identify common pitfalls, and MOST IMPORTANTLY ask the right questions when evaluating a potential investment.

A huge thank you to CREW Portland Gold Sponsor Lease Crutcher Lewis for generously hosting us in their gorgeous event space in downtown Portland!

And the conversation doesn’t stop here. We’re planning more informal meetups for CREW Portland members interested in discussing personal investing in commercial real estate, a chance to learn from one another, share experiences, and keep building confidence as investors.

Interested in joining? Stay tuned for more info!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Part 2! We loved seeing so many members ready to turn knowledge into action!
