Register today and join CREW Portland on a members-only tour of the new Schnitzer School of Art + Art History + Design at Portland State University.

The four-story, 100,000-square-foot building houses classrooms, studios, galleries, faculty offices, labs, and student spaces. Its exposed Douglas fir timber structure uses 40-foot beams to maximize CLT spans, while a rhythmic colonnade of timber posts creates student-curated pocket galleries. The building opens for classes in September 2026, but this is your chance for a sneak peek!

Join us for appetizers, beverages, and networking with your fellow CREW members following the tour!

Last call to join us for our CorksCREW Wine Social: Beyond the Bottle! 🍷

As we wrap up registration, we’re spotlighting Meg Rulli of Flipturn Cellars with a reminder of what can happen when you just take the leap.

“Starting my own label with just one ton of fruit (and no prior winemaking experience) was a bold leap that changed everything for me. It taught me that you do not need to start big to build something meaningful - you just have to start and learn as you go.”

This is what Beyond the Bottle is all about - real stories, real risks, and the women behind the product. If you’ve been thinking about joining us, now’s the time. Don’t miss an evening of connection, conversation, and a deeper look at the stories shaping our community.

We are almost sold out! Secure your spot today, and we'll see you in two weeks! Registration link in the comments.

Beyond the Bottle: Meet Barbara Gross of Cooper Mountain Vineyards 🍷

“I didn’t find the world of wine—the world of wine found me.”

For Barbara Gross, winemaking is both legacy and leadership. While she was born into the industry, shaping it, and pushing it forward, has been entirely her own.

From elevating the Willamette Valley onto the global stage to building a business rooted in collaboration, discipline, and deep respect for the land, Barbara brings a grounded perspective to an industry often viewed through a romantic lens.

As she puts it, the reality is “gritty, unglamorous, all-consuming work” driven by long days, constant problem-solving, and a relentless commitment to the craft.

We’re proud to highlight leaders like Barbara at our Corkscrew event; women making an impact far beyond the bottle.

We hope to see you at CorksCREW this year on June 24th! Registration is open at crewportland.org!

Beyond the Bottle: Meet Kate Norris of Division Wines 🍷

Winemaking may look glamorous from the outside, but as Kate puts it, it’s everything from “flying the plane to cleaning the toilets” in a small business.

As the founder of Division Wines, Kate made bold choices early. Building an urban winery in Portland and championing under-the-radar PNW varietals. Her vision is simple but powerful: make wine more approachable, more diverse, and part of everyday life.

Because at the end of the day, the story behind the bottle matters just as much as what’s in it.

We’re proud to spotlight women like Kate at our upcoming CorksCREW event; leaders shaping the industry in ways that go far beyond the glass.

We hope to see you at CorksCREW this year on June 24th! Registration is open at crewportland.org!

The CREW Future Leaders Committee hosted an impactful, hands-on workshop at Pacific West Bank. Led by Trish Nixon, Patti Moller, and Julia Moore, the session focused on mastering the elevator pitch, and the art of professional networking.

From workshopping initial drafts to sharing strategies for authentic and effective follow-up, it was an afternoon filled with thoughtful conversation and genuine connection. It’s always rewarding to see the community come together to support and empower the next generation of industry leaders.

And thank you to our Impact Partner Killian Pacific for your continued support and commitment to developing future leaders.
