🌊 Weekend on Oak Island & Southport! 🌴
Planning your weekend getaway? Whether you’re a local or just visiting, there is so much happening in the OKI area this April 18–19! From community floats to historic strolls, here is your perfect itinerary.
🗓️ Saturday, April 18
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM: Ride the Tide Kayak Float 🚣
Grab your paddle! Join the community for a scenic float down the Davis Canal. It’s the ultimate way to see the island’s natural beauty.
Location: Davis Canal (Launch at SE 31st St.)
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Southport Springfest 🌸
Take a quick drive over the bridge for this annual festival! Enjoy live music, handmade crafts, and local food trucks in the heart of historic Southport.
Location: Franklin Square Park, Southport
6:00 PM: Dinner at Sh***er Jacks 🍤
End your day with casual outdoor dining. Their seafood tacos are legendary!

🗓️ Sunday, April 19
Morning: Sunrise at the Oak Island Pier 🌅
Nothing beats a morning walk over the Atlantic. Keep an eye out for dolphins!

A Southport “must.” Grab a shrimp tray and a cold drink while watching the boats in the Yacht Basin.
