When Cindy entered a software sales career in the early 1980s, she planted the seeds to become successful in real estate by honing her negotiation, marketing, and interpersonal relationship skills while liaising with Fortune 50 companies. After tiring of traveling as a single mom, Cindy returned to her hometown and earned her real estate license in 2000 and tapped into her relevant background and personal experiences, including owning 10 homes in five states and becoming a renovating master. Cindy co-credits her success to her continuous desire to learn new and creative ways to provide a stellar client experience. She is committed to improving herself, whether it be through listening to motivational speakers, coaching, diving into real estate courses, or attending conventions to stay up on the ever-changing world of real estate. She also has a ton of DIY experience and a full plate of designations, including Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS); Certified Residential Specialist (CRS); Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®), Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI®); and Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR®). Most of Cindy’s business comes from past clients and referrals and is a mix of first-time and move-up buyers, empty-nesters, downsizers, and seniors in the stages of their final home sale. Giving back to the community is just as important to Cindy as real estate. It’s a quality inherited from her “volunteer extraordinaire” mother, who, among other things, fundraised to establish the NC Museum of Art and the gardens at UNC Rex Hospital. In addition to volunteering — which includes loaning her moving truck to clients and charities and holding “stuff the truck” events — Cindy enjoys spending time with her ever-growing family, training for triathlons, woodworking in her “she-shed” and cheering on her beloved Clemson Tigers!
