Great day representing Community Associations Institute - North Carolina Chapter at Legislative Day this week alongside our Legislative Action Committee, industry leaders, and several North Carolina legislators.

Proud to see PPM represented by Tammy Sanderford as we participated in important conversations impacting community associations across North Carolina. Advocacy and industry engagement are essential in helping protect and strengthen the communities we serve every day.

These discussions provided valuable opportunities to share perspectives on the challenges facing associations, managers, homeowners, and business partners, while continuing to build strong relationships with legislators and industry peers.

Thank you to everyone who helped organize such a meaningful and impactful event, and to the legislators who took the time to meet with us and hear our voices.

We are incredibly proud to recognize Monique Taylor and Jennifer Burch of PPM for serving as presenters at the CAI Annual Conference in Fort Lauderdale.

Their session, Capital Projects That Don’t Go Off the Rails: Lessons from the Field, brought together an outstanding panel of industry professionals, including Jennifer Burch, Monique Taylor, Emily Carey with Feazel, and Harmony Taylor with Law Firm Carolinas.

The presentation highlighted practical strategies for managing community association capital projects, including clear communication, expectation-setting, technology, ethical considerations, and strong contract management.

A special congratulations to Monique and Jennifer for sharing their expertise on a national stage and continuing to elevate the community association profession through leadership, education, and collaboration.

What a fantastic day at the CAI Annual Conference & Exposition!

We were proud to see such a strong representation of North Carolina community association professionals coming together to learn, connect, and share ideas that strengthen the communities we serve. It was especially rewarding to have so many members of the PPM team among this outstanding group of industry leaders.

A special congratulations to Laura Duncan and Kristina Goodman, who walked across the stage to receive their prestigious PCAM (Professional Community Association Manager) designation, the highest professional credential available in community association management.

This achievement reflects their dedication to continuing education, professional excellence, and exceptional service to the communities they support every day.

Congratulations to Matt Leffler for completing the TCS London Marathon with Team Fox while helping raise an incredible $272K in support of The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

Matt ran in honor of his father, who passed away after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Every mile run and every dollar raised helps move research forward toward better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. His dedication, compassion, and commitment to supporting critical research efforts are truly inspiring.

Memorial Day is more than the unofficial start of summer. It is a time of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance for those who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Some drives collect supplies… ours collected scents for the big cats!

Professional Properties Management is proud to recognize our very own Alina Cochran for organizing a “Scent-sational Perfume Drive” in support of Carolina Tiger Rescue. Thanks to the generosity of our team and supporters, 17 perfumes were collected to help provide enrichment activities for the rescue’s amazing animals.

A very special thank you goes to Kristen Schmidt and Lynn Peed for their incredibly generous donations and support of this fun and meaningful initiative. Your kindness helped make this drive a roaring success!
