About last week! I don't always share my closings, but I had to share this one because y'all just need to know how unpredictable real estate can be. This is my FTHB client Mr Booker. He was referred to me by a good lender friend of mine. Great guy, hardworking, and well deserving of this moment. Everything was going smoothly, but a week before closing, I got a call from the listing agent..somebody stole the HVAC system!!!? WTW!! I'm not making this up y'all. And the neighborhood is just as quiet as you can get. So we didn't know if we could close at all. Needless to say it all worked out and this is the smile of a proud owner with a brand new HVAC system in his home!! It was super unfortunate for the seller no doubt, but I gotta give credit to the listing (Barbara Reagan @ Long & Foster) agent for keeping a cool head and figuring out a solution that worked for all parties. We were all baffled by what happened, but her honesty and professionalism kept us on track. From the police reports to the insurance calls. Although we closed a little later than anticipated, her client ended up happy and as you can see, Mr Booker was more than pleased. We don't just open doors, we solve problems for real hardworking people on the daily and it's all for moments like this. Congrats Mr. Booker!!
