We had the pleasure of visiting the Teeny Tiny Trifecta 9 gallery show at Second Street Gallery show in Charlottesville. Included artists have three artworks on display, each measuring 8 x 8 inches. The exhibition aims to showcase a wide range of talented artists while providing an accessible introduction to contemporary art collecting. It was so cool to see the pieces come together in such a colorful way. Check out our daughter, Ambrose’s pieces until the closing of the show on September 24 at Second Street Gallery!

There are many fun things to do in Richmond this Labor Day weekend, and here are just a few things we think you should definitely check out:

1. 🖼️🎨Starting today for First Fridays, the Virginia Museum of History and Culture will host a makers market for Artes RVA. The event will include local Latino vendors and musicians. Starting today at 5pm and tomorrow at 10am! Free admission today only!

2.🫔Latino Farmers Market
Saturday: Come hungry to the Latino Farmers Market, where vendors offer everything from Argentine empanadas and Mexican tamales to Venezuelan arepas, Dominican food, baked goods, fresh produce and handmade goods. 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Free admission. I had a great time attending the closing reception of the Retalhos and Recortes exhibition by curators ambrose hernandez godoy 💒 & Davi Leventhal at 1708 Gallery! There was plenty of dancing and piñata breaking involved.🪅

Out of Many, One is an installation and workshop series that brings two vernacular traditions into dialogue: Mexican papel picado and Brazilian fuxico. Together, these practices offer a material and conceptual framework for reimagining the American flag as a diasporic, community-authored form shaped through many hands and histories.
