Lots of people have been asking us to share pictures of our reno. Truth is, it's not 100% done yet and some of that is because of our cat, Pete. Pete has had two life-altering surgeries since June 15th. We just haven't been able to get some of the contractors back. We haven't been able to leave him alone. No pictures have been hung because we are trying to acclimate Pete to the house as a stress-free and quiet environment while he continues to heal. So Lisa decided it would be kind of fun to start a blog to let everyone in on all the change/chaos/blessings that have been happening in our lives and you can just go on the reno ride with us. She's only created 2 posts but I thought I would share. There will be more to come.

This is so cute and funny. Our tile contractor is laying out our backsplash today. He brought his son with him who is probably 12. Unbeknownst to his father, he kept telling his dad what a good job he was doing and hugging him each time he would lay a tile or show him how to do something, all the while putting a barcode sticker on his back from the tiles. I forgot that the stickers were on his back. Our contractor had to run to the store and get something and he went in with all of these barcodes all over his back. I'm sure his son was rolling on the floor laughing. Wait until his father gets home and sees the back of his shirt. Hopefully he has a good sense of humor.

Not too late to prepare. More pets go missing on Fourth of July than any other day of the year. Keep your dogs and cats inside. They'll appreciate the AC and the peace and quiet.
