When Patty and I were asked by my Uncle Guido to sell his home, I was truly honored. It felt a bit like being entrusted with Keith Richards’ house. While you won’t find Guido or Toni topping the Billboard charts, in Ridgefield, they were rock stars.

Everyone in town knew them—through their tireless work with Ridgefield Football in the ’80s and ’90s, and their deep involvement with the community through St. Mary’s, the Italian American Club, the Ridgefield Thrift Shop, and so many other causes.

When I first moved to town 30 years ago, the moment someone heard my last name, they’d ask, “Are you related to Guido or Toni?” When I said yes, it was always followed by a great story—or simply, “They’re incredible people.”

Their home may have changed hands, but their footprint in Ridgefield never will. Their legacy lives on in the memories of everyone who knew them.

Cue up Paint It Black. 🎸

I was at it again ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. Everyone in Danbury was great!! Almost everyone wished me a Merry Christmas and at least 50% of the people walking by gave me a donation!
