There's a version of your morning that starts with a cup of coffee, a sunrise over the marsh, and a walk where the only sound is birds. That version lives at Foxtail Commons. π
We spend a lot of time talking about what's near us β the beaches, the restaurants, the airports. But the most underrated part of life in the Lowcountry? The mornings.
Imagine this:
6:15am. You brew your coffee β maybe you picked it up from Half Day Cafe on Okatie Highway the day before, because that's just what you do now β and you step outside. The air is warm and soft. The light on the marsh is doing something that genuinely stops you.
You clip on your dog's leash and head toward Sergeant Jasper Park, a few minutes down the road. The trails are quiet at this hour. There's a heron standing perfectly still at the edge of the lake. Your dog has already forgotten everything stressful that happened yesterday, and honestly, so have you.
By the time you're back, you've covered two miles, your coffee cup is empty, and you feel like a person who has their life together.
That's not a vacation. That's a Tuesday.
