Beyond the Burbs | At Home

This week, we’re heading into our guest room. Blue and white has always been a favorite of mine and I love mixing traditional pieces, collected details and a little pattern to make a space feel personal.

But this room isn’t quite finished! Next up? Giving our guests a bathroom of their very own.

UNDER CONTRACT 🏡✨

This one feels extra special. I’ve known my buyer for years, and I’m so happy I’ve gotten to be part of this next chapter with him.

His must-have list was pretty simple: a house with a pool. 💦

And we found it. A great home, a great backyard, and yes… the pool. ✔️

There are still a few steps between under contract and getting those keys, but I’m so excited for him and what’s ahead.

Next stop: closing day! 🥂

BEYOND THE BURBS | at home 🍂

Today I’m taking Beyond the Burbs inside my own home.

I really believe in living in your home—not just decorating it. The little things you collect, the memories you display, the scents you love…those are the things that give a home its personality and make it feel like yours.

One of those things for me is candles. I burn them year-round, even in the middle of summer. There’s just something about a candle burning that instantly makes a room feel warmer and cozier.

And when fall rolls around, I start bringing little pieces of the season into our home in ways that feel personal. One of my favorites is swapping some of our everyday photos for pictures from our past trips to the Pumpkin Village at the Dallas Arboretum. 🎃 They’re memories we already have, but bringing them back out each year has become part of the season itself.

Because creating a home you love doesn’t always mean buying something new. Sometimes it’s simply surrounding yourself with the things—and the memories—that make it feel like home.

Today I’ll share my favorite candles + a few of the little things around our house that make it feel like us.

I’ve been doing this in my neighborhood for years and it’s still one of my favorite little Halloween traditions. A few treats left at the door, a little neighborhood fun, and then you get to keep it going by BOO’ing someone else. 🧡

I love the little things neighborhoods do that make this time of year feel special.

Just in time for summer, five new paddling trails are opening on Lewisville Lake through a partnership between the City of Highland Village and Texas Parks & Wildlife! 🌊

The new trail system offers 8 miles of kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding routes with multiple launch points at:

📍 Pilot Knoll Park
📍 Marauder Park
📍 Sunset Park
📍 Copperas Branch Park
