Being a native of Rome and watching the many changes our community has experienced, I believe Rome and Floyd County is one the “best kept” secrets today. My husband Hal and I opened a small retail store in our Historic Downtown area in 1973. We’ve renovated the building 4 times so far
and continue to upgrade as the market changes. I worked there until I became a Realtor in 1992. Having the opportunity to travel extensively with our clothing store, we have seen a lot of communities big and small and have had great job opportunities but I
must say, we stay in Rome for a good reason…it’s the best place to live! Quality matters in today’s world and that is what we locals
have strived to accomplish over the past 20 plus years in our economic redevelopment efforts. When you visit, you will see for yourself
