If you’re thinking about buying your first home, start small: make a list of your “must‑haves” and “nice‑to‑haves.” Every step after that will be so much easier.
Know your budget; get in touch with a lender and start the conversation. You may be able to manage more than you thought, which allows you to get more of the "nice-to-haves," or it may help you decide to push some of the "must-haves" into the "nice-to-haves" list.

Fort Bend is trending in a seller's market, with the average final sale price being 96.8% of the listing price. Five-to-six months of inventory is considered balanced, and under that gives home sellers the edge in negotiations.

This is where getting a comprehensive and accurate Comparable Market Analysis as a buyer will help you have the edge. Having a pointed analysis of the prospective property is key in knowing how much you should offer to be competitive with other offers, and just how much is too much.
