One of the most difficult things I do as a realtor IS NOT communicating, negotiating, closing deals, doing paperwork, creating the marketing and media materials, driving for endless hours, managing client emotions and expectations, or ensuring satisfaction.

For me, the most difficult thing is asking for those clients to leave reviews…

We live in a world of shameless plugs and self promotion, both of which just feel gross.
Yet, as a marketing professional, I’m not blind to it as a necessary evil.

I know there are a lot of realtors out there, maybe even your friends or family, and this review was from a client who also could’ve hired someone they knew but ended up hiring me.

I hope you reach out and provide me the opportunity to show you why Google, Bedrock, Ilitch Holdings and other big names, have hired me in the past for marketing, and why those skills translate to a better home buying experience for you when your in the market to sell or buy your next home.

57 showings on the first day. 1️⃣

My client was one of the first showings.

Perfect house, perfect driveway, pool, two car garage, everything was perfect.🏡

We left that showing, and I advised him that he’s going to have to put in a strong offer well above asking price. 📈

I also advised him that because of the new USPS boxes in the garage, it is highly likely that the sellers already have a place to go…
📦
It may be wise to put in this strong offer but force them to make a decision right away.⏰

Betting on the psychology of just wanting to get this underway and over with. 🥸

The sellers had until midnight that same day, with 49 showings still on the books.📕

At 9:30pm that night.
Our offer was accepted. 💰💰💰

Fast forward: Monday is closing.
Seemless transaction from everyone involved.

I haven’t posted in a couple days.
Needless to say, I’ve been in a writers block …
This video is an example.

There is something to be said about a well thought out, inspirational and touching monologue.
But I have to balance that desire with not being so damn cheesy, fake & boring like everybody else.

Easier said than done, I guess.

Making a video every day is a lot harder to do than it is to say, and I’ve got some catch-up to do.
But I did make a promise, and I will make a video every day, or at least 365 of them this year.

It’s just that sometimes I get brain fog and can’t think of what to produce …
And I put the pressure on myself to make it high-level …
Even though I did promise, everybody here that I would try to relieve myself of that pressure…

I’m just a product of perfectionism.

First of all - 〽️

Second, while the house is nice, nothing makes me shake my head more than seeing wealthy homeowners trust peers of mine to sell their home, and those realtors fumble the ball on quality marketing.

Nothing makes me more frustrated for this industry and homeowners. Nothing…

This house deserved the Hollywood treatment.

And I will even go as far as to say that this video will bring more eyes to that listing than the actual listing itself.

Oh, well you can’t win them all.

I decided to look up the most expensive property for sale currently in Michigan.

I’m a little bit stumped.

Is the seller delusional?
Or is the realtor delusional?

The seller may think it’s worth something despite reality.

Or the realtor might’ve convinced the seller it’s worth 20 million just to get the listing…

While I’m sympathetic to the idea of price high and negotiate a lower cost, this screams irrational.

What do you think?

11:59pm - as promised another video each day for 365 days.

What did you think I wouldn’t make it?

No chance.

When I say I’m going to do something I’m going to do it.
Self-accountability.
That’s what life is all about.

and when I say, I’m going to own one of those skyscrapers one day. I’m going to.

Or when I say, I’m going to show up at a listing appointment … I’ll be there five minutes early.

Accountability creates reliability. Never forget that.
