I spent yesterday decluttering more thoroughly, doing smaller cleaning tasks, & just resetting my home.
As we all do, I’d recently gone through a particularly busy season, between a time-intense gig & a Branson vacation. Mix in some doctor appointments & getting the teen to the orthodontist & his advisory board meetings. Add a dash of extra lifey life. You get a perfect brew of messy home.
Now, it wasn’t the disaster you might imagine. Every surface wasn’t stacked to the ceiling. Laundry had been recently done. Trash was taken out. And the dishes were (mostly) under control.
Things were just needing a reset. Fingerprints needed wiped from the fridge handle. The microwave needed a scrub. Little items had been accumulating on the side tables & needed to be assigned a home.
Sometimes we get so caught up in being “busy” that we forget to do these things. And that’s okay. It’s also okay to step back from the daily tasks to take a fresh look at our homes & reset them. Freshen up. Get detail oriented.
Today I have a few more spaces where I’ll see what I can declutter, adjust, reorganize. But mostly, I’m going to sit back & enjoy my “better” home. 🥰
