Good information about keeping that hard earned property tax discount on homesteaded properties and moving. Keep that benefit! Buy that house and just date the rate!

A provision of the Save Our Homes (SOH) Amendment to the Florida Constitution allows homestead property owners to port, or transfer, the accumulated difference between assessed value and the Just/Market Value. The process of moving this SOH differential (or benefit) from one property to another is referred to as Portability. Portability must be applied for and applications must be submitted by March 1st of the year being applied for. 🚧 Northbound I-275 Travel Lanes on the Howard Frankland Bridge Closing Wednesday Night 🚧

Motorists traveling northbound on I-275 towards the Howard Frankland Bridge will have to detour off the interstate using Gandy Boulevard (Exit 28) from 11 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, to 5 a.m., Thursday, June 19, weather permitting.

Other roadways (Roosevelt Boulevard, Bayside Bridge, Courtney Campbell Causeway, and Memorial Highway) will remain accessible and may provide an alternate route.

Motorists should add extra travel time as traffic congestion and delays may occur while driving on these roadways.

This closure is necessary for crews to install overhead sign structures as part of the new southbound I-275 (Howard Frankland Bridge) bridge project between Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.
