Spent the day checking out Ha Ha Tonka with the family. The old castle ruins are pretty awesome, and there’s plenty to explore around the park such as trails, caves, springs, the natural stone bridge, and some great views of the lake.

Definitely a cool spot to get the kids outside and let them explore for a few hours. If you haven’t been, it’s worth checking out!

We recently checked out Pirate’s Cove Adventure Golf in Osage Beach, and it’s such a fun place for a family outing! 🏴‍☠️⛳️

With pirate-themed courses, caves, bridges, waterfalls, and plenty of fun scenery, it’s a great way to spend an afternoon together!

Did you know Missouri is home to MANY incredible caves?!
Living in the Ozarks means we have some pretty awesome natural wonders right in our own backyard! This particular cave is at Ozark Caverns, and this formation is known as the “Bathtub” because of its unique shape. 🛁✨

Missouri’s caves were formed over thousands (and in many cases, millions) of years as water slowly worked its way through the limestone beneath our feet. Inside, you can find stalactites, stalagmites, flowstone, underground streams, and all kinds of fascinating formations!

Cave exploring is such a fun family activity and a great way to learn about the geology and natural history of the Ozarks while getting a little adventure in, too! 🥾🔦

There’s so much history hiding right in our own backyard. ❤️

Rocky Ridge Farm in Mansfield, Missouri the home of Laura Ingalls Wilder. 🏡📚

If you grew up reading the Little House books, there’s something pretty special about standing in the very place where Laura lived and wrote about her life on the prairie.

Mansfield is one of those little Missouri towns that reminds you just how much there is to discover close to home. From history and beautiful scenery to hidden gems and family friendly adventures, I am going to start sharing some of my favorite places around the area.

Because sometimes the best adventures are closer than you think. 🌿🇺🇸
