The 2026 date harvest is officially underway! 🌴

The Southwest desert region — Coachella, Yuma, and Imperial — is the source of nearly all U.S. date production. Like nearly every crop, harvest had an early start this year, with Coachella Valley growers in Thermal and Mecca already hard at work bringing in this season's crop. A warm spring and summer pushed fruit maturation along faster than usual, and mature trees are carrying heavy fruit loads this year, setting up strong yield potential.
