Carol D. Curtis, Associate Broker, Realtor

Carol D. Curtis, Associate Broker, Realtor Broker Associate at Century 21 Riverstone | Sandpoint | I Look Forward To Helping You I consider my best attributes to be my integrity and my sense of humor.

I have had the honor of calling North Idaho home since my husband and I bought property here and then moved here in 1995. We were immediately drawn to the friendly people, the natural beauty, the proximity of the ski resort, and the beautiful and vast Lake Pend Orielle – the largest lake in the state and the 13th deepest in the world! I was raised in New Jersey, not far from the Jersey Shore, so b

eing close to a large body of water is important to me. Although real estate has always been an interest of mine, I graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor’s in History and a minor in Economics. After college, I worked in sales and then in procurement, or contract management, for the Federal Government - USDA and the Department of Energy. When we first moved here, my husband and I opened a small computer consulting company, Sandpoint Computers and I was also honored to serve as the IT Director of our local county government. I also worked for Egghead and Software Spectrum before making the leap to real estate. My varied experience in my past careers prepared me well for my career in real estate. I became a REALTOR® in 2006 and achieved an advanced certification – Graduate REALTOR® Institute Certification. Since then, I have amassed a wealth of local real estate knowledge which I put to work every time I help a buyer or a seller. I am a Top Producer in our market and have developed relationships with all the local real estate industry professionals. I have sold residential and commercial property, have helped people purchase second homes throughout the area including up at Schweitzer, first time homes, unimproved or vacant land, and assisted investors find properties that are a good fit for their real estate portfolios. I believe in being honest and frank with people at all times, but the process of buying or selling should include a little fun! Life is too short to not smile or laugh. I also serve our local and state real estate industry through my service with the Women’s Council of REALTORS®. I have held the position of Treasurer and am currently President of the Coeur d’Alene Network. I have served twice on the Selkirk Association of REALTORS® Board as the Secretary. I am active in community organizations and my local church where I serve as an Elder. We are raising our family here (I have two children) and enjoy skiing at Schweitzer, boating on Lake Pend Oreille and recreating in our small beautiful town of Sandpoint. When you come, I bet you fall in love too!

Ask your real estate professional for recommendations of several trusted lenders for you to shop a rate, terms, and fees.

Research shows consumers generally search too little, get confused while evaluating complex alternatives, and are slow to switch from past choices, even if it costs them.

Your real estate professional can advise you if it is worth the effort to make repairs before embarking on an "as is" scenario.

From a seller's standpoint, "as is" means the buyer will purchase the home in its current condition without asking for any repairs but it may result in not realizing the highest proceeds from the sale.
