Still “reel”-ing 🎬✨ from Play On! by — celebrating 96 years of community theater and their gorgeous new home in Payne Park.

I was so honored to be part of a little cinematic love letter to The Sarasota Players, created by the wildly talented Miles Larson. Miles and I each basically grew up backstage, and my “interview” felt more like talking with an old friend. 🎭

When he asked what I learned as a Players kid, I had to tell the truth: I learned how to bomb. Spectacularly. 💥 Forget lines. Miss cues or keys. Smile through it. And then… do it again the next night.

The theater didn’t teach me how to be perfect. It taught me how to be resilient. How to keep showing up. How to take the stage even when your knees are shaking.

Sponsoring this event felt like tapping back into that whimsical, dramatic, slightly pertinacious fight for talent from a little girl who just wanted a spotlight and a chance. 🌟
