When I joined Women's Council of REALTORS®, I was a brand new REALTOR® looking for direction, education and relationships. I had no idea that saying "yes" to membership would completely change the trajectory of my career.

Women's Council gave me more than networking opportunities; it gave me mentors who believed in me, leaders who challenged me and friendships that continue to encourage me. It gave me a seat at tables I never imagined I'd have the opportunity to sit.

Because of Women's Council, I've grown from a new agent into a confident leader, serving as Treasurer, President-Elect and now President of our Savannah Network. I've earned my PMN designation, completed Leadership Academy, served on statewide project teams, built relationships with leaders across the country and now have the incredible opportunity to apply for Georgia District Vice President.

Most importantly, Women's Council taught me that leadership isn't about having all the answers. It's about being willing to serve, learn and help others succeed.

I can honestly say that joining Women's Council has made me a better REALTOR®, a better leader and a better professional.

Today was a wonderful day at the Empowerment Center for Come Get Your Keys, hosted by State Representative Carl Gilliard. It was inspiring to see so many individuals and families taking the first step toward homeownership.

A special thank you to Tracey Truman with Georgia Dream Homeownership Program for sharing valuable information about the resources available to aspiring homeowners.
