Exciting events unfolded this week at the Beltline Parking Facility in St. Louis Park, MN! Donlar hosted members of the Edina Morningside Rotary for an early morning “Rotary in the Workplace” site visit, led by Site Superintendent Paul Notch.

The visit offered a behind-the-scenes look at construction in progress and the people, planning, and teamwork that bring a project to life.

Thank you to our Rotary friends for starting your day with Donlar! Bringing community members together on the jobsite is one more way we share our mission: Improving Lives by Building Better Communities.

True or False: Safety Slows a Project Down
False: Safety is a critical and complex part of every construction project. It is woven into the fabric of daily life on the job site.

Taking the time to plan for and implement safety protocols, and all of the elements involved in safety, actually supports productivity by reducing disruption, incidents, downtime and uncertainty.

Construction is about hardworking, dedicated people who take pride in their work. They arrive early, stay late, solve problems and remain focused through demanding and exhausting days—all to build structures that will last.

It takes many people to get the job done: project managers and superintendents, dedicated team members behind the scenes, architects and engineers, skilled tradespeople and trusted subcontracting partners.

Construction is about more than wood, brick and mortar. It is about the lasting impact made by real people who improve their communities every day through hard work that stands the test of time.

Welcome back to school! After a busy summer making reroofing improvements across Harding High School, things are looking up!
Students have returned this week and Donlar has set their tools down for the week to let students settle into classes. We will be back up top next week moving toward completion.

TRUE or FALSE: Hard Hats Don't Expire

FALSE: Though built to be tough, hard hats do expire.

Manufacturers recommend replacing them at least every five years, or sooner, depending upon use and exposure. Sunlight, heat, chemicals and rough treatment can weaken the materials and reduce their ability to protect from impact and even certain levels of electrical exposure. Safety Tip: Inspect your hard hat before each use for cracks, dents, brittleness or other signs of damage. When in doubt, change it out.
