Recently, our Princeton interns, traded their desks for a ropes course and spent the day climbing, balancing, encouraging one another, and having a lot of fun along the way.

Much like a ropes course, a successful career is built one step at a time. Sometimes you lead, sometimes you lean on your team, and sometimes you discover you are capable of more than you thought. Every challenge is a little easier when you have people beside you cheering you on.

At Princeton, we believe internships should be about more than learning a job. They should be about building confidence, developing relationships, and growing as a professional and a person.

Judging by the smiles, laughter, and teamwork on display, we would say this group is off to a pretty great start.

While we didn’t hear Princeton’s name called from the stage this year, we are leaving the 2026 NAA Excellence Awards with something just as valuable: perspective.

To the winners, congratulations. Your achievements raise the bar for all of us, and our industry is better because of the work you do.

As for Princeton, being named a finalist among the best in the country was never the finish line. It was a reminder that the pursuit of excellence is ongoing. Awards recognize a moment in time. The work that creates them happens every day.

We celebrate the recognition and return home with the same mindset that brought us here: keep building, keep improving, and keep finding new ways to serve our residents, teams, and communities.

Congratulations again to all of the winners, and thank you to everyone who helped make this journey possible.
