New rules are being proposed that could help level the playing field for everyday homebuyers. 🏡
The U.S. Department of the Treasury is looking to limit how many single-family homes large Wall Street–style investors can buy, so they’re not competing as heavily with families trying to purchase a primary residence. At the same time, there are exceptions to keep money flowing into building new homes and fixing up older ones, so much-needed housing supply can still grow.
If you’re hoping to buy a home, changes like this can impact how many homes are available and who you’re bidding against. Stay tuned and follow along here for updates as these regulations move forward so you can stay informed about what it means for your local market. 🏠✨
