TERMITE BAIT! đ
Those wood boards around a slab foundation arenât supposed to stay there.
Theyâre called form boards, and their only job is to hold the concrete in place while the foundation is poured. In our area, theyâre usually made from untreated pine. Once the concrete cures, they should be removed.
When theyâre left buried in the soil, they become an easy food source for termites and other wood-destroying insects. And once theyâve finished eating the form board, your home may be next on the menu.
Small construction shortcuts can lead to expensive problems down the road.
