As a Native Houstonian, I have grown up in Spring on the Northwest side of Houston. I attended Haude, Hildebrandt, Klein and Klein Oak. In my neighborhood of Memorial Northwest you can often catch me at our new community center volunteering for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Memorial Day Celebration and An Evening with Santa. ouston has custom homes that were mainly built in the 80's. These homes have the character you want in your next home. We have a very active community our tennis team is large with womens, mens, singles and doubles. We have an on site pro at the community center for lessons and drills. We also have a very active and decorated swim team! The Marlins usually have about 150 swimmers that come from approximately 90 families in the neighborhood. We have many Boy and Girl scout troops in the subdivision that are always working on different service projects or can sell you some popcorn and cookies! Memorial Northwest children attend Theiss elementary, Doerre Intermediate and Klein High school. Since Theiss and Doerre are located in the subdivision, children get to walk and bike to school until they go to high school. I have served Klein ISD in numberous capacities from Key Communicator 2008-2010, District Volunteer Coordinator 2009-2010, the Education Foundation Annual Golf Tournament, to various PTO Board positions at Theiss Elementary and Doerre Intermediate. In the community I have enjoyed volunteering with these organizations - Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council - Troop Leader, The Zach Hamm 'Don't Sweat It' Annual Golf Tournament, The Sunshine Kids Foundation, Breakfast for Iron Bill and AAYFTD Klein Texans & Texas Angels Board Member.
