Selling here usually has nothing to do with the house.

People assume you sell because something went wrong. Usually it's the opposite. Life changed and the house didn't.

Here's what it actually sounds like when someone calls me:

They're done maintaining 4,000 square feet. What they want is a single-story with POA maintained lawns. Not less house. A different week. Museums on a Wednesday afternoon, dinner without planning it eight days out, trails a few minutes from the front door, and somebody else dealing with the landscaping.

They're trading snowy winters here for a February in Florida. Outdoor dining, sunsets at the beach, and golf on a Tuesday.

They bought in 2010 for $280,000 and just found out what it's worth now. You can't un-know that.

The taxes, the lawn service, the upkeep on 5,000 square feet. It adds up to a lot of trips they'd rather be taking.

None of that means you hate Northwest Arkansas. It means the house stopped fitting.
