Spotted in Fanwood 👀and this one is for the food lovers.

Meze Market is coming to South Avenue right between Dunkin Donuts and the post office.

A Mediterranean food market with grab and go options, imported goods, and gelato made right on premises.

Construction is already underway.

Behind it is Armen Saqe the chef and owner of Jessica’s Restaurant right here in Fanwood teaming up with Petrit Zeqaj formerly of Nostimos Mediterranean. Two people who really know their food and know this community.

No opening date yet but will keep an eye out for info!

Sometimes you just see the sign.

Last year my clients downsized and realized pretty quickly they needed just a little more space. So we got back to work.

Enter Southwyck Village in Scotch Plains. A beautiful community that gave them everything they were looking for plus a pool, tennis, clubhouse, and gated entry. Not a bad upgrade at all.

Shoutout to listing agent Anthony Wohlrab for being so great to work with and to Francisco Pinho Jr. for getting everyone to the closing table smoothly. The best kind of transaction. 🙌

Spotted in Plainfield…👀

The massive 45,000 sqft building that recently housed PickleRage switched gears and Game On NJ is coming in to replace it.

From what we can see on their Instagram page. This is the largest indoor sports and entertainment venue in New Jersey.

It will be a mix of interactive sports and arcade entertainment with food and drinks as well.

Looks like they’re going to have archery, digital darts, golf simulators, arcade, air hockey, pool table, and still have Pickleball (8 courts).

And they will have a flexible gathering space for corporate meetings, conferences, private parties, and events.

And looks like they will have a wellness studio and have a space for yoga Pilates, stretching, and group fitness eventually.

Tons to do and so close by. Target opening date is October 31.

Looks like we’re getting a new spot on South Avenue across the street from the King’s complex. Laughing Dogs Cafe just put up signs and looks like they got the final approval to get construction underway. Can’t wait to see what they turn this cute little spot into.

October 10th. I have your plans. 🚲

The Madd Ox Foundation is hosting their Road to Hope event right here in Cranford and I want to make sure everyone knows about it.

It kicks off with a bike ride to the Elks where the fun really begins.

Mini golf, a dunk tank, B-12 injections, catered lunch, and a free drink with every ticket. But the most meaningful part of the day is the candle vigil to honor all of the angel babies.

With October being Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month this event is so much more than a fun afternoon. It is a way to come together, remember, and support families who are walking through one of the hardest things imaginable.

Every single dollar goes directly to supporting families starting their journey of grief.

Sometimes the best parts of this job have nothing to do with real estate at all.

Last week, a group of us realtors from completely different brokerages came together for one reason: to build a playset for a local family going through something truly unimaginable. Just a community showing up for a kiddo who deserves to play and just be a kid again.

Garwood development news: an update on the Paperboard project at 75 North Avenue.

If you live in or around Garwood, you’ve probably driven past this 4.5 acre site for years. Here’s where things stand. The Garwood Mayor and Council approved an amended redevelopment agreement for the Paperboard project.

The original agreement dates back to 2018, and the project changed after a settlement tied to New Jersey’s affordable housing requirements.

The commercial component is out, and the plan is now all residential.

The breakdown:
212 total residential units
88 age-restricted units
37 affordable housing units
175 market-rate units

What’s next: the developer has filed a site plan application with the Garwood Planning Board, and it has not been approved yet.

The redevelopment attorney expects local approvals in about 9 months to a year, with construction starting after that. So construction is not starting right away.
