Just wrapped up my GENUP class (General Update — one of NC’s required continuing ed courses) and wow, I learned a lot more than I expected! The section on the changes already underway in appraisals was especially eye-opening — it’s shifting how we think about value, timing, and prepping listings - on the buyer and seller side.

Continuing education can feel like a box to check, but this one was genuinely worth the time. If you’re an NC agent who hasn’t knocked out your GENUP yet, I’d encourage you to get it on the calendar soon — it’s a good one.
