August was another month of guiding families home.

Last month, 18 individuals and families moved into housing, and Gateway180 provided 4,855 bed nights of safe shelter.

These numbers mean families had a safe place to sleep, support when they needed it most, and a path toward home.

We are so grateful for everyone who helps make this work possible, month after month.

WHAT DO WE NEED WEDNESDAY

Gateway180 needs the following items for our families:

- Bed sheets (all sizes need, but especially twin size bed sheets)
- Shower products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash)
- Bar soap
- Women’s hygiene items (pads, tampons, panty liners)

Thank you to the Southwest Area Chamber of Commerce for having our Executive Director Kathy Connors share Gateway180’s story and talk about the difference we’re making for families experiencing homelessness.

We are so grateful for the generosity of our community, but at this time we are pausing all clothing donations.

This helps us stay organized, make the best use of our space, and continue being good stewards of the donations we receive.

We are still in high need of the items shared in our What Do We Need Wednesday posts, so please continue to keep an eye out for those updates.

We are so grateful for an incredible community effort that brought a truckload of surplus food from the BMW Championship to Gateway180! 💛

A huge thank you to the PGA TOUR, BMW, Bellerive Country Club, Spectrum Catering, and Caring for Friends Food Bank for making sure this food could go right back into our community and help feed the families staying at Gateway180.

We’re so thankful to everyone who helped make this donation possible and to KMOV News 4 for sharing the story!

When our community comes together, we can make a real difference for families working toward home. 🏠💛

A fresh coat of paint and a whole lot of helping hands! 🎨💛

A huge thank you to the amazing team from Edward Jones for spending the afternoon at Gateway180! Their volunteers helped us tackle painting projects throughout the building, from freshening up trim and windows to giving our fire escape some much-needed attention.

Projects like these make a real difference in keeping Gateway180 a welcoming, cared-for space for the families we serve. We are so grateful for community partners who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get to work alongside us!

A new school year is here! 🎒✏️

More than half of the people staying at Gateway180 are children, and we want to make sure every student has the supplies they need to start the year ready to learn.

We are currently collecting backpacks, notebooks, folders, pencils, crayons, markers, glue sticks, pencil cases, and reusable water bottles.

Donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 1000 N. 19th Street.
