East Brunswick isn’t a place you drive through anymore. It’s a place people move to on purpose.

The Staten Island families landing here aren’t chasing a walkable downtown. They’re chasing a town that gives their whole family somewhere to actually go without loading up the car every weekend.

That mix of Middlesex County convenience, real amenities, and 20 minutes back to the Outerbridge is why this town keeps showing up on my client list.

For a long time, I thought some of my biggest traits were things I needed to fix.

I think too much.

I ask too many questions.

I change my mind.

I want too much.

I always have another idea.

I’m never really “done.”

And yes… sometimes those things absolutely need to be managed.

But they don’t need to disappear.

I’m learning the difference.

My ambition needs direction.

My ideas need ex*****on.

My questions help me understand things other people overlook.

Changing my mind sometimes means I finally have enough information to make a better decision.

And wanting more doesn’t mean I’m ungrateful for what I already have.

That one took me a while.

I’m not trying to become a different woman in this next chapter.

I’m learning how to properly use the woman I already am.

And I have a feeling she’s capable of a lot more than I’ve even seen yet.

Before you spend a dollar getting your Staten Island house ready to sell, call your agent.

Because the answer is not always “renovate it.”

Sometimes the smartest thing you can do is paint, declutter, clean it up and list it.

Sometimes there are a few strategic updates that will absolutely help your sale.

And sometimes the house is better sold exactly the way it is.

The mistake is assuming you need to make your home look brand new before a buyer will want it.

You don’t.

You need to understand what buyers in your price range are comparing your house to and where your money will actually make a difference.

That’s part of the strategy BEFORE the house ever hits the market.

And enough freedom to actually enjoy the life I worked so hard to build.

I don’t want to choose between ambition and being present.

Monmouth County is probably the county Staten Island families ask me about the most.

And I get why.

It feels familiar, but you have way more options depending on the lifestyle you actually want.

If being close to the Garden State Parkway matters → Middletown, Holmdel and the surrounding areas usually come into the conversation.

If you want to go a little farther inland → Manalapan, Marlboro and Colts Neck start making more sense.

If you want downtowns, restaurants and things happening around you → Red Bank and parts of the eastern side of the county deserve a look.

And then you have something the other Central Jersey counties simply don’t have in the same way:

The shore.

Beaches. Waterfront communities. Ferry access. Train stations. Academy buses. Downtowns. Suburban neighborhoods. Larger properties. Luxury estates.

You can build a completely different version of your life here depending on where in Monmouth County you land.

And that is exactly why I tell people:

Don’t choose a town first.

Figure out your commute, budget, lifestyle and priorities first.

Then we find the town.
