Southeastern Michigan’s August housing market showed signs of steady buyer demand, with pending sales increasing 3.1% year over year across Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and Monroe counties. Although elevated mortgage rates continue to affect affordability, growing inventory and more flexible pricing are giving buyers additional opportunities while home values remain strong. Overall 4,154 homes were sold across our region.
