End of Watch 💙🖤
Rest easy, sweet girl. 😢🐴

Since the day you arrived for duty at the Key West Police Department, I've had the privilege of helping care for you. Feeding you, cleaning your stall, brushing you, loving on you, and looking forward to seeing your sweet face at the barn became part of my life.

You weren't just a police horse to me—you were family.

You carried my Riley with such grace and gentleness, and you even stood proudly by her side for her senior pictures... memories our family will treasure forever.

Your quiet strength, kind eyes, and gentle soul touched so many lives, especially ours. The barn will never feel quite the same without you.

Thank you for your faithful service to our community and for all the love you gave so freely.

Run free across green pastures, beautiful Mila. Thank you for letting us love you. You will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always hold a special place in my heart. 💙🖤💔

Around here, there’s a joke… people come to the Florida Keys once, go back home, sell everything, and move here. 😆🌴

I know because I did exactly that.

From Route 1 in Northern Maine… all the way to the very end of Route 1 in Key West. 💙

For so many of us, this stretch of road isn’t just a highway. The moment you cross into the Keys and begin that famous 18 Mile Stretch, something changes. The air feels different. Life slows down. The stress fades.

It’s the beginning of dreams, fresh starts, sunsets, salt air, and finally finding your piece of paradise.

And somehow… it always feels like coming home. ☀️🌊🎶
