Madison does Halloween right and our downtown parade/magic/tick or treat extravaganza is NO exception!!!

So - if your kids are trick or treating on Main Street, ask them to remember *secret* code word when they arrive at Coldwell Banker for a FULL SIZE CANDY.

The code word? "MEGITHAPPEN."

Supplies are limited (but not super limited - I have more than 100) so come down early if you can!

Greetings!

*Long post ahead...*

Yesterday was my five-year “Coldwell Banker-versary” and in two weeks, I’ll be celebrating TEN YEARS as a real estate agent.

It definitely hasn’t been easy and there have been times when I’ve questioned my ability (and my sanity), but I just wanted to share a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported me - by choosing to work with me (there are a lot of other agents out there!), recommending me to a friend or colleague or even just cheering me on here on social media.

Sales is a really hard business - as the saying goes, you only eat what you kill - and the challenges of the last few years (death! family job loss! pandemic! seismic industry shifts!) have made it even more demanding. At times, I’ve thought about transitioning out of the business.

But at the end of the day - and today and every day - I truly love what I do, and there’s nothing more satisfying than helping a family say a peaceful goodbye to their longtime home, or working with a client to get their kids in their choice school district by September 1, or handing the keys over to proud first-time home buyers.

It’s truly an honor to work and walk alongside my clients during their biggest life transitions, and that’s what keeps me going. Plus, I’ve made so many awesome friends during this journey - and I can’t wait to meet even more cool and kind kindred spirits.

Working in real estate has given me a true sense of professional and personal purpose, it’s led me to many friends, I’ve discovered strength and patience and boundaries I didn’t know I had, and (last but certainly not least), I’ve supported my family financially through some pretty hard times.

So thank you, thank you, thank you for your support - in whatever way you offer it. I see you, send endless gratitude and will support YOU however and whenever I can.

Today, two things rocked me to the core.

Here goes -

1) I unabashedly stopped into a broker open house for the free lunch. Thanks Carrie Salter Conte and Jane Agnew Schelling for the Chinese Chicken Salad. It's a family favorite.

2) I jammed out to Blind Melon's "No Rain" at the store and embarrassed my 14-year-old son. It took me approximately four minutes to realize HOLY SH%T I WAS YOUNGER THAN HIM WHEN I FIRST HEARD THIS SONG.

Have a great evening, friends, and stay young at heart!
