The Seed Library operates on a community "take seeds, leave seeds" model designed to encourage home gardening, local food resilience, and pollinator support.

๐“๐š๐ค๐ž / ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ ๐’๐ž๐ž๐๐ฌ: Stop by the library and browse the seed catalog/cabinet for non-GMO, heirloom, and open-pollinated vegetable, herb, and flower seeds suitable for the local growing season.

๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ญ & ๐†๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ: Take your chosen packets home to start in your garden.

๐‡๐š๐ซ๐ฏ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ & ๐‘๐ž๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง: At the end of the season, collect and dry seeds from your healthiest mature plants. Place them in a clean envelope labeled with the plant variety and harvest year, then hand them to the front desk so librarians can catalog and distribute them to future gardeners.
