🏡 From Community Conversation to Collective Action.

This summer, Maiker hosted seven community conversations across Creekside, Waterview, Aztec Villas, Crossing Pointe North, Crossing Pointe South, Village of Greenbriar and ATS, up from just one in 2025. Over dinner, members shared what matters most to them, including affordability, safety, maintenance, transportation and stronger community connection, and we’re already responding by adding safety items to community budgets and seeking funding for youth activities. Members are also finding new ways to lead through our developing Community Advisory Council and advocacy with Coloradans for the Common Good.

Join Adams County Government, CO on Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Human Services Center (11860 Pecos St.) for the annual Trunk or Treat, a family-friendly Halloween celebration. Wear your favorite costume and bring the kids for treats, fun and community. The event will be held inside and in the parking lot, and no registration is required.

This 70-unit affordable housing community in Westminster includes neuro-inclusive housing for members with intellectual and developmental disabilities and shows how affordable housing can go beyond shelter by pairing thoughtful design with services and community connection for residents of all abilities.

City of Thornton, Colorado Government's fresh food box pickups are at Community Connections (9471 Dorothy Blvd) on the third Friday of every month through October 2026. Distributions run from 9 - 10:30 a.m., offering free boxes of locally grown produce plus access to community resources. Reservations are required and open two weeks before each distribution on a first-come, first-served basis.
