Another fun closing today—and this one has all the feel-good moments 🏡✨

Earlier this spring, Shayne found me through my website (www.CyndiKight.com)… and then we realized his sweet wife, is the niece of one of my sorority sisters (thank you, Crystal!!). Small world moments like that never get old 💛

We kicked things off with a buyer consult over lunch at Victoria's Pizza in VB (so good 😋), where Maura described her dream home. Shayne had already taken the initiative to get preapproved with Stacey Seim, Sr. Mortgage Banker at Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group, so we were ready to roll—and decided to go see homes that very day.

And then… it happened.
We walked into a house in Chesapeake and I immediately thought, “This is the house Maura just described.”

But let’s be honest—no one finds their dream home on Day 1… right??

We weren’t quite ready to pull the trigger, and another offer was coming in. Still, something about it stuck. The following weekend, we went back with Maura’s parents… and that sealed it.

✨ Offer submitted
✨ Some smart negotiating for closing costs
✨ Offer accepted

From there, everything just kept falling into place:
✔️ First-time homebuyer grant (covering closing costs!)
✔️ Seller assistance layered in
✔️ Early lease release

And today… they CLOSED 🎉 Thank you, Allison Glover and team at TitleQuest Landmark!

Shayne & Maura are now the proud owners of a charming 1960s brick ranch—and their sweet pup Maggie officially has a backyard to call her own 🐾

This one was special. So happy for you both!! 💛

There are some closings that are more than just a transaction ❤️

This one started with a message from a dear friend I’ve known since high school. Her family needed help selling her dad and stepmom’s home… in the very neighborhood where I grew up. It was personal from the beginning.

I had the privilege of working alongside her sister, Jen, and brother-in-law, Mike—who did the heavy lifting of clearing out years of memories and getting the home ready. Joe and I came in to stage it, helping highlight what has always been true about this house… it’s solid, well-loved, and full of life.

We priced it strategically (because you KNOW I’m watching the market every week 👀), hit the market on March 6, and were under contract by March 10. And now… the new owner is closing this Friday.

But what really matters here isn’t just the timeline.
It’s the closing of a chapter for a family who has said goodbye to both parents. And it’s the beginning of a new chapter for a buyer who will now get to create their own memories in a home that has already held so many.

These are the moments that remind me why I do what I do 🤍
