How it all started

When I was 16 years old I worked in a little restaurant in East LA on Beverly Blvd near Montebello I was taking an ROP course in banking and finance occupations and was reading a book about real estate at work.

The owner Joseph Spillone walked in and instead of being upset that I was reading on the clock, he offered to bring me on board as his assistant and even sponsored my Real Estate Practice and Ethics course so that I could get licensed. I spent a couple years assisting “Joey”, marketing, showing, and negotiating sales and purchases.

I then got into banking started as a teller, banker, financial advisor, and left as a private banker with Bank of America, Merril Lynch, and Wells Fargo. I gained valuable experience in budgeting, saving, establishing a retirement plan, investing, the importance of lending and ultimately the value of assets, income, and leverage.

This brought me back to my adolescent business venture of Real Estate. Properties are not only the beginning of independence, family, and a home. Real estate is also the easiest point of entry to establish and capitalize your net worth, leverage equity, and create passive income.
