I don't usually post about politics here. But this isn't politics to me. It's family.
I'm the proud daughter of immigrants, people who came here with nothing but faith and two hands ready to work. I grew up in Orosi, surrounded by families who pick the fruit, build the homes, and hold this valley together. My family did both...picked fruit, cleaned homes, built infrastructure throughout California. Those are my people.
Right now, too many families in our community are living in fear. Parents afraid to drive to work. Kids afraid to come home to an empty house. People being stopped because of how they look or the language they speak.
No child should be separated from their parents. No one should be profiled for the color of their skin.
To my Latino community: I see you. I stand with you. I will keep showing up for you, in your language, with respect, and with my whole heart. 🤍

Normalmente no hablo de política aquí. Pero para mí esto no es política, es familia.
Soy la hija de inmigrantes (orgullosamente) de personas que llegaron con nada más que fe y ganas de trabajar. Crecí en Orosi, rodeada de familias que cosechan, construyen y sostienen este valle. Al lado de mi familia que tambien se dedico a lo mismo. Esa es mi gente.
Hoy muchas familias viven con miedo. Ningún niño debería ser separado de sus padres. Nadie debería ser juzgado por su apariencia o su idioma.
A mi comunidad latina: los veo, estoy con ustedes, y siempre estaré aquí para servirles con respeto y con todo mi corazón. 🤍
