Yāall, one thing Iām thankful for here in Waco is that our town does not disappoint when it comes to burgers! Whether youāre looking for a quick school night dinner out or just a delicious freshly made burger, weāve got some great local spots. šÆ
In no particular order, here are my 10 favorite burger spots here in Waco. š
#1. Christiās Hamburgers
Thereās just something about being greeted with a āwelcome inā and ordering a fresh, made-to-order burger. And yāall, Cristi can make a dang good burger! I love to order a good olā cheeseburger and fries from here. And I canāt help but mention the prices here are amazing.
#2. Whizzbangs Hamburgers
Their meat is delivered fresh every morning from a local meat market. Donāt skip the Whizz-pig burgerā¦a 50/50 combo of ground beef and ground bacon. Yummm!
#3. Dave's Burger Barn
Each patty is made by hand, fresh, and never frozen! Home of the Zipper Ripper challenge. If youāre hungry, give it a shotā¦but let me know first so I can come watch. š
#4. Cupp's Drive Inn
Simple, basic, old school, and so nostalgic. This small diner is another blast from the past, and everything is so delicious. Get the bacon cheeseburger and a side of their hand-battered onion rings.
#5. Dubl R Burgers
Another old-school, no-frills burger. But a few things they do differently that take their burger to the next level for me is the buttery toasted buns and savory grilled onions. Itās one of my favorites in town.
#6. Kitok Restaurant
If youāre looking for something a little different, check out Kitok! Their Grand Slam burger is a crowd favorite. But no matter the burger, you have to try their Oriental fries. š
#7. Health Camp Burgers & Shakes
Located on the Waco Circle, this historic place is such a staple! My favorite is the Health burger with cheese all the way and their homemade onion ringsā¦and you canāt leave here without a shake.
#8. Griff's Grill & Catering
Located out in the China Spring area, order the mushroom Swiss burgerā¦and while this is a burger post, I have to add that Friday night is all you can eat catfish!
#9. Kims Diner
Step back into the 1950s and enjoy a great atmosphere and even better food! Kimās serves a really good burger and fries, but I canāt help but mention their shakes and pies are to die for, too!
#10. Tom's Burgers
Last but certainly not least, youāve got to order the patty melt from here! And donāt skip out on their Cajun friesā¦10/10 recommend!
