Today we closed on 103 Dorchester! Jim and Margo owned this home for over 25 years and raised their family here. Although they moved to their new home a couple of years ago, this house still holds decades of memories.

When they came to me after unsuccessfully trying to sell it, we made some changes, refreshed the home, and put it back on the market.

Then came the waiting. We worked through several offers that just didn’t make sense, an appraisal that wasn’t what we hoped for, and a market that seemed determined to test our patience.

Thankfully, my sellers never lost sight of the goal. They were willing to work through the challenges, make compromises when needed, and keep moving forward.

Today, all of that paid off, and we made it to the closing table.

I’m so grateful they trusted me to help them get this one across the finish line. Congratulations, and thank you for allowing me to be part of the journey! ❤️🏡

I don't get political, ever. But I'm putting my own money behind this as a Realtor here in Middle Georgia to have a frank conversation about data centers.

As a Realtor, I spend every day helping people make one of the biggest decisions of their lives... where to plant roots, raise their kids, and build their future. And I can tell you this with certainty:

People don’t move to Middle Georgia for industrial-scale development. They move here for space, for community, for peace, and for the kind of lifestyle that’s getting harder and harder to find.

I understand the argument on the other side. Growth matters. Revenue matters. Jobs matter. And yes, permanent jobs and construction work will help some families... and prompt growth (how much growth is debatable)...

But we have to ask an honest question:
At what cost?

Because once something like this is built, there’s no going back. The land is changed. The expectations are changed. And for some of our neighbors, their lives are changed whether they like it or not.

This isn’t just about being “for” or “against” development. It’s about being thoughtful stewards of our community. It’s about making sure the people who already live here aren’t treated as obstacles to be worked around.

Middle Georgia is worth protecting; not just its tax base, but its identity... That comes through loud and clear with buyers and sellers I talk to every day.

If you're as concerned as I am, please keep showing up to City Council meetings. I know I will be. It's uncomfortable for me too, but your voice is worth it.

📣 Before you sign anything on solar panels…please hear this. 👇🏻

Many solar companies will tell you that when you sell your home, the buyer can simply “take over the payment.”

What they don’t tell you is that most buyers don’t WANT to.

In many cases, those panels come with a lien on your home. That means the lien must be satisfied before closing…and if the buyer won’t assume the loan, that means you’re stuck paying it off.

Another common claim we hear from solar panel salesmen is that solar panels increase your home’s value. As a full-time Realtor who has analyzed many property appraisals, I can say that’s usually not true.

It’s a sad but common fate of many sellers: We run the numbers and they realize they’re losing $30 - $40K at the sale because of a solar panel loan they still owe on.

Solar panels might sound great upfront, but the resale reality usually leads to a disappointing result.

If you’re planning on selling your home ANY TIME in the near future, and considering solar panels, all we suggest is you do your homework.

Read every line of your contract, and ask the salesmen how it affects the resale of your home.

And if you want an honest answer of how it affects the resale of your home, ask a local Realtor.

Happy closing day to these two! What a wild ride! Quintin first reached out to me a few months ago as an investor and we’ve been scouring properties for his portfolio. Then to my surprise, they decided to relocate here.. and we began the hunt for the perfect house… we found it and today we closed!! But their story doesn’t stop there!
