Use:

-Curtain track
-Folding screen
-Slatted wood divider
This creates a semi-private sleeping area so it feels more like a 1-bedroom-lite setup.

Murphy Bed / Daybed Setup
-A Murphy bed or stylish daybed makes the space feel bigger during the day while still functioning as a bedroom at night.

Lofted Bed Concept
If ceilings are decent height:

The Waverly Fire Department will be hosting a bicycle/wagon/stroller decorating contest for the Memorial Day Parade Monday May 25th!

There will be a $25 prize for the winner in each of 5 categories:
• Most Patriotic
• Oldest
• Youngest
• Best Overall Bike
• Best Overall Wagon/Stroller.

Judging will be held at 9:30am beside the Pike County Courthouse.

All contestants are invited to ride in the parade following the judging. The parade will kick off at 10:00am.

We’ve had a lot of messages and calls recently asking about upcoming rentals, so we wanted to give a little update!

We currently have a couple properties being renovated and plan to have available this summer. We’ll post full details, photos, pricing, and availability dates as soon as renovations are complete. 🏡

In the meantime, we appreciate everyone’s patience while we balance renovations, maintenance and small projects on our currently rented properties, along with squeezing in some much-needed time with family and friends too.

THIS SATURDAY, May 9th: OHIO BOATER EDUCATION COURSE at Lake White!

LAKE WHITE STATE PARK Boating Education Facility
2767 State Route 551, Waverly in Pike County

Saturday, May 9, 2026
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

The Ohio Boating Education Course (OBEC) includes topics such as

- know your boat
- before getting underway
- operating safely
- legal requirements
- boating emergencies
- water sports

This class fulfills the Ohio's mandatory boater education law requirements.

One-day class. Bring a lunch and drinks/snacks for the day.

Educational resources are all provided. Passing grade results in lifetime card; temporary card issued after passing test at end of the day.

Pike Lake State Park post says to please sign up in advance by calling Shawnee State Park at 740-858-6652, opt 3; If no answer, leave your name, phone, and e-mail address. Please list all participants.
