Hannah Conway Realtor

Hannah Conway Realtor #1 Individual Real Estate Agent at Keller Williams Realty Ellis County, with over $17M in individual sales volume in 2025.

My goal is to make every client feel as if they are my only client. My family moved from Hawaii to Midlothian in 2019. We could have chosen anywhere in the U.S. to plant our roots and we chose Ellis County and its proximity to the DFW area. What drew us here is the incredible community for our two children to grow up in. After exploring much of the surrounding areas, I have fallen even more in love with this region. It really is a place where you can have it all, whether it be city or country living. I received my Specialist in School Psychology degree in 2014 and have spent many years working in education. While I loved having the opportunity to help people and make a difference in student’s and parent's lives, real estate has always been in the back of my mind. Becoming a REALTOR® has been a dream that I never imagined would come true. While it’s scary to leave a career that I am comfortable with, I am so excited to embark on this new adventure. I’ve always loved looking at houses but more importantly I am passionate about helping others. Buying or selling a home can be an overwhelming, daunting task. I would be honored to work with you to make the process as seamless as possible.

There’s a historic Southern town just south of the city that more DFW homebuyers are starting to discover…

You don’t need to move farther north of Dallas for more house. You need to look south instead. 👀

If you’re searching for a home in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and feeling like your budget isn’t getting you what it used to, it might be time to change direction.

Look at Waxahachie, Midlothian, Ennis, and surrounding Ellis County communities, where you may find:

🏡 More square footage
🌳 Bigger lots
✨ Newer homes and communities
🚗 Easy access to Dallas and DFW
💰 More home for your budget

You don’t have to choose between space and access to the city. Sometimes, you just need to look south of the city.

If you’re considering moving to Dallas, DFW, or South Dallas, let’s talk about what Ellis County could look like for you.

Your dream home might not be north of Dallas. It might be just south of it.

If you’re planning a move south of Dallas, these are two of the first cities I’d put on your list. And while they’re both in Ellis County, TX, they can feel very different once you actually spend time in each one.

Here’s what I tell buyers to consider before choosing:

🏡 Your commute
Where you work matters. Midlothian and Waxahachie both offer access to Dallas and the surrounding DFW Metroplex, but your daily route can look very different depending on where you’re headed.

💰 What your budget gets you
Don’t just compare home prices. Look at lot sizes, neighborhoods, new construction, amenities, taxes, HOA fees and what you’re getting for your money.

🌳 The type of community you want
Midlothian has seen major growth and has plenty of newer master-planned communities, while Waxahachie gives you a mix of established neighborhoods, new construction and a historic downtown with a completely different sense of place.

🏘️ New construction vs. established neighborhoods
If you want a brand-new home, both cities have options. But the neighborhood experience, surrounding development and proximity to established amenities can vary significantly from one community to another.

☕️ Your everyday lifestyle
This is the part Zillow can’t really show you. Where are you grabbing coffee? Where are you spending Saturday morning? How easy is it to get dinner, shop, take the kids somewhere or meet friends? Those little things matter when you’re deciding where you actually want to live.

📈 Future growth
Both Waxahachie and Midlothian are experiencing continued growth as more people look beyond the traditional North Dallas suburbs for more space and a different pace of life. The question isn’t simply “Which city is better?” It’s “Which city makes more sense for YOU?”

And honestly, that answer can change depending on your budget, commute, lifestyle and long-term plans.

So if you’re researching Waxahachie vs. Midlothian, moving to Ellis County, or trying to figure out which South Dallas suburb is right for your family, don’t just compare listings.

Compare the lifestyle.

Save this for your home search.

Forget the square footage. THIS is what you’re really buying when you move to Midlothian, TX. 🏈✨

You’re buying Friday night lights.
You’re buying packed stands and hometown pride.
You’re buying neighbors who show up.
You’re buying community, traditions, and the kind of small-town Texas atmosphere that’s getting harder to find.

And yes, Midlothian has new construction, larger homes, growing neighborhoods, great amenities, and plenty of options for buyers. But what makes living in Midlothian special isn’t something you can measure in square feet.

It’s the feeling of being part of something.

For families looking to move to Ellis County, TX or find a home south of Dallas, Midlothian is worth putting on your list. You get that close-knit community feel while still being within the greater Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Because sometimes the best part of buying a home isn’t the house.

It’s the life happening outside of it. ❤️

If you’ve lived in Waxahachie long enough, there’s a good chance you’ve become a little… insufferable about how people pronounce it. 😂

Because it’s WALK-suh-HATCH-ee.
Not WAX-uh-HATCH-ee. 🚫

And yes, you WILL correct someone who says it wrong. It’s basically a local requirement at this point.

If you’re moving to Waxahachie, Texas, relocating to Ellis County, or just exploring the best places to live south of Dallas, consider this your first lesson in local culture.

Waxahachie is one of the most recognizable cities in Ellis County, known for its historic downtown, beautiful historic homes, small-town charm, and easy access to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

So go ahead. Say it with confidence:

WALK-suh-HATCH-ee.

Now you’re officially one step closer to being a Waxahachie local. 😂

Share this with all your local friends, especially the ones who pronounce it incorrectly!

If you’re looking for something fun to do in Midlothian, TX, add Union 28 to your list.

This is one of those local spots that makes living in Ellis County feel a little more fun. Think good food, outdoor games, 28 Texas beers on tap, and live music on Friday and Saturday nights. 🎶

But honestly, it’s the atmosphere that gets me. Sitting outside under the twinkle lights, listening to live music, grabbing a bite with friends, and just enjoying a Texas evening… it’s hard to beat.

Union 28 is a great spot for a date night, family night, girls’ night, or just getting out of the house and enjoying everything Midlothian has to offer.

If you’re exploring Midlothian, Waxahachie, Ellis County, or the communities south of Dallas, put this one on your local favorites list. 🤠
