This home sold for $26K over the asking price, but it wasn’t an easy one! My elderly clients needed to move into assisted living before their house went on the market. Their POA was out of state and I took on the role of property manager. A clean out service was hired. An underground oil tank removal company was hired. Unfortunately there was soil contamination. Remediation had to occur. Finally a permit needed to be applied for, because their plumber forgot to do so years prior. Town inspections were scheduled and we made it to the finish line! Real estate transactions often have challenges, some more than others. Who you work with matters. Experience matters. I was lucky enough to have an awesome buyers agent on the other side of the transaction, as well as a preferred attorney. The team worked together and got everyone to the closing table. Congratulations to all!
