If you've ever relaxed at our cabin, you may have noticed (and I hope picked it up and read through some of it) the BearBooks. We met Kim DeLozier several years ago and told him about our trash procedure (all food waste goes into a 2-gallon ziplock bag and into the freezer. Housekeeping removes it when they are ready to leave.). He thought it an EXCELLENT was to keep bears safe and wild!

If you love the national park, bears, and funny stories, check out "Da Bears" episode of the monthly Friends of the Smokies Podcast. Retired wildlife biologist Kim DeLozier shares some of his experiences, insights, and humor from his decades working with bears in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The podcast is on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube (links in the comments). Thank you, Friends! 🐻

This juvenile bear reminds us why it's important to follow Connie's trash rules - thank you for keeping the bears safe!

Thank you all for responding when I had a fellow needing to see recent reviews before he booked. He has! If anyone has time to copy and paste what they wrote on our previous post to this review site - we'll be well up to date!

Hi fans! Connie has someone who is wanting to see some recent reviews. I'm not great at harassing guests for reviews - would you please comment here on what you think of Eagles View (and me).
