📣 3rd annual GC Independence Day Parade on

July 4th at 6:30 pm.
⭐️ 🇺🇸 💥 🧨

Decorate your wagons, bikes, golf carts, strollers, big wheels, etc and parade down Goodwin Chase Lane. Participants can line up in the culdesac on East Goodwin Chase at 6:30 pm.

🚲 🏍️🦼🦽🛵🛴🛺🏎️

Neighbors viewing, please come to the ends of your streets and line up along East and West Goodwin Chase Lane. Bring a chair, cold beverage, and a fan. 😉

We will host popsicles at the end of the parade route and gather for a community photo.

⚠️ If you can volunteer to watch the main road (Wall Rd) as we cross over from East to West, please comment below. ⚠️

If you have plans to watch the 4th of July Fireworks and park "near" the Carolina Mudcats stadium, just note where the "No Parking" zones will be!

We are getting ready for the upcoming 4th of July holiday and the fireworks show hosted by the Carolina Mudcats. The map below shows the parking areas for the event. Additionally, please plan for the road closures along US 264 Alt and NC 39 during the show.

Hey Goodwin Chase Neighbors! We are holding another neighborhood Fourth of July parade for the kids and families! It was a huge success last year.

It includes decorating wagons, bikes, golf carts, strollers, big wheels, etc and parading down East and West Goodwin Chase Lane. 🚲 🏍️🦼🦽🛵🛴🛺🏎️

We would need neighbors at both ends of Goodwin Chase Lane and at Wall Road to volunteer to keep everyone safe!

Parade day and time:

July 4th at 6:30pm at the cul-de-sac at the end of East Goodwin Chase Lane!

In North Carolina, there's the ongoing generational battle between which is better. Eastern BBQ (vinegar based sauce) or Western BBQ (Mustard based sauce)... often referred to as Lexington Style.

Here in Johnston County, we have friendly competition within the county boundaries. Stephenson, White Swan, Smithfield, J-Tops, Low and Slow, Daddy D's, Up From The Ashes and Redneck BBQ Lab are just a few with similar but different styles and unique flavors.
