Hello September! 🍁 There’s something about this time of year that makes me nostalgic — golden light, cozy drives, and that Earth, Wind & Fire song that instantly gets stuck in your head. If you know me, you know I’m a sucker for golden retrievers 🐾, and this photo could not be more my speed. It also has me thinking about all those drives between Connecticut and Vermont during leaf peeping season — back and forth between my two favorite markets, with one of my own goldens riding shotgun the whole way. New season, renewed excitement — for family time, road trips, and yes, the fall real estate market too. This one is special. The mountains are home — it’s where I’m from, and every time I get to feature a property here, it feels like coming full circle.

Don’t let today’s gloomy weather slow you down — summer’s not over yet, and if you haven’t gotten your lobster roll fill, don’t waste these last few weekends on burgers and dogs! 🦞 I pulled together a few of our favorite spots in Connecticut, with Abbott’s in Noank at #1. We’ve been going since the kids were tiny, and to this day, it still tops our list - with these other spots coming in as a very close (and still delicious) second!
