Before I negotiated homes, I worked on a trading floor.
It was fast, competitive, and high pressure. You learned quickly that when a lot is happening at once, getting emotional doesn’t help. You have to stay clear, know the numbers, and make the decision in front of you.
I didn’t realize at the time how much of that would follow me into real estate.
When my buyers are in a multiple-offer situation, I don’t panic. When a seller has a difficult decision to make, I’m not going to tell them what sounds good. I’m going to tell them what I actually think. And when something changes in the middle of a deal, my job is to figure out the next move, not add to the stress.
That same mindset is also why I pay such close attention to what’s happening here in Western Springs and La Grange. Real estate decisions should be based on what’s actually happening in your market, on your block, and at your price point, not simply on the headline you read that morning.
After more than 10 years in Western Springs real estate and $250M+ in sales, one thing hasn’t changed: I believe good representation means being willing to have the honest conversation, especially when it’s not the easy one.
Real estate is emotional. My job is to stay clear when the decision doesn’t feel clear.
Thinking about buying or selling in Western Springs or La Grange? I’m always happy to have an honest conversation about your options.
