The next time it’s raining, grab an umbrella and go outside!

It might be one of the best times to spot a problem with your house before it turns into an expensive repair.

Take 5 minutes and walk around your home. Check your:

Gutters — Is water overflowing anywhere?
Downspouts — Is water actually making it through?

A clogged gutter or downspout can send a surprising amount of water exactly where you don’t want it — around your foundation, basement, siding and windows.

And here’s the important part: don’t just check after the storm. Seeing how the water moves while it’s raining can tell you a lot more.

Union Pacific’s Big Boy No. 4014 rolled through Rocky River today. This engineering marvel is one of only 25 Big Boy locomotives ever built, and the only one still operating today. Originally constructed in 1941, these massive steam engines were designed to haul heavy freight through the rugged mountains of the American West, helping move goods, resources, and equipment that fueled the nation’s growth and expansion.

Stretching more than 130 feet long and weighing over 1.2 million pounds, Big Boy is a powerful reminder of the innovation and determination that helped connect communities and support America’s westward development.
