The Road to Belonging – Join our Community Journey
Blue Columbine Cohousing has been building momentum for six months, since the Wheat Ridge City Council unanimously approved our Plan to build 39 homes, a 5,000 square foot common house, and numerous shared outbuildings and spaces on our 3.3 acres of land.
Our group of future residents has grown and begun digging into the work of shaping a community: reviewing best practices for communal living, fleshing out values and policies, building our group decision-making skills and deepening our relationships.
A year from now, we intend to be celebrating as we break ground for construction! We’re well on the way, strategizing with our professional advisors on the steps forward, and how we can work together to keep up the momentum.
This is the year Blue Columbine Cohousing moves from the vision stage to reality and prepares to break ground early in 2027.
Join us next Wednesday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m. for a virtual info session reviewing the overall project as it stands now, the path to construction, and details about the developing community character. We’ll also watch an updated fly-through video rendering reflecting the final project plans. RSVP through our homepage at BlueColumbineCohousing.com
On April 25, we’ll host a hybrid virtual and in-person gathering for deeper discussion about how the next 12 months will play out, and we’ll share the latest detailed renderings from our architect team, depicting the final plans to be reviewed by the City. Saturday, April 25, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., Wheat Ridge Recreation Center Room 2. RSVP to [email protected].
Join now and help us establish this community. Members – future residents -- receive a seat at the table as we make the decisions and do the work of turning the dream of community life into our reality, in cooperation with our experienced team of professionals. Without members, there can be no community. Dream with us and be our next neighbor!
