Katie graduated from Wichita State University earning a degree in Entrepreneurship with an emphasis in Real Estate and a minor in Management. In 2006, Katie joined the Carnahan Group as an intern. After 2 years of hands on learning, she was invited to join as a full time sales associate. In 2012, Katie became a Broker Associate. Katie is able and ready to assist you and be your advocate throughout the home buying or selling process. Katie shows and sells homes and acreage throughout Wichita and the surrounding cities including: Sedgwick, Valley Center, Newton, Goddard, Colwich, Andale, Park City, Kechi, Towanda, Benton, Bentley, Andover, Derby, Rosehill, Mulvane, Peck, Clearwater, Garden Plain. This was one of those homes that was easy to fall in love with. Beautifully maintained, an ideal location, and 1.3 acres to enjoy — the sellers did such a wonderful job caring for this property and making it feel like home.

The moment the buyers saw it, they knew. ❤️

So happy for my sellers as they close this chapter, and excited for the new owners who get to call this special place theirs!

I was there the day he was born.

I was there when he was just a little boy, holding him in my arms as we watched his daddy graduate from Air Force Basic Military Training.

I was there when he was 4 years old and decided he didn’t want to be at daycare anymore, so he called his Aunt Katie and told her we should probably go to the zoo. And, of course, we did. 😂

Years later, I was there when he followed in his daddy’s footsteps and graduated from Air Force Basic Military Training himself.

And I was there when he signed the papers to buy his very first home. 🏡❤️

There are certain moments in life you know you’ll never forget, and getting to sit beside him for this one was definitely one of mine.

From holding that little boy in my arms, to watching him serve our country, to watching him become a homeowner — what a privilege it has been to have a front-row seat to so many chapters of his life.

This closing was extra special. ❤️

So incredibly proud of you, Buddy.

Real estate has always been more than a career in our family, it’s in our blood. We’re proud to be 4th generation in real estate, serving Wichita and South Central Kansas, and now that legacy gets to continue in a really special way.

As I celebrate 20 years in real estate and my 3rd year at OWN Real Estate, I knew it was time to grow. And I can’t think of anyone I’d rather have alongside me than Molly Davis!

Molly is officially joining me at OWN Real Estate, where she’ll be helping me provide an even higher level of client care while also building her own business and serving her own buyers and sellers.

One of my favorite parts of real estate is that it doesn’t stop at the closing table.

I had the privilege of helping this family buy this home years ago, and now I’ve helped them sell it as they begin their next chapter. Watching my clients’ lives grow and change—and getting to be a small part of those milestones—is something I’ll never take for granted.

Real estate is so much more than houses. It’s about relationships that last for years, celebrating new beginnings, and doing life together.
