⚠️ Water boil Update - Sept. 17, 3 p.m. ⚠️

As of 3 p.m. this afternoon, 40 water sample tests are complete and are being reviewed by KDHE. Final test results will be available around 5:30 p.m., at which time KDHE will do their final review and decide on whether to rescind or continue the boil advisory.

As a reminder, 195 water test stations were sampled yesterday. Tests must be incubated for 24 hours to ensure no contamination. Yesterday, batches of test water were collected at different times throughout the afternoon as staff traveled to each testing station. This means that final test results are available at different times this afternoon.

KDHE is coordinating with staff and will have a final meeting at 5:30 p.m. to go over all results.

The City will be able to provide further updates at that time. As a reminder, updates, FAQs and further information are available at Wichita.gov/alert.

After a long and thorough search for the right person to join our maintenance team, we’re very happy to introduce our new Maintenance Technician, Bobby Brown!

Bobby comes to Chisholm Lake highly recommended by his previous property manager and brings 10 years of maintenance experience, including 7 years in student housing and 2 years working with residential properties. We’re excited to have his experience and knowledge on our team and are looking forward to having him serve our Chisholm Lake community.

If you see Bobby out and about around the property, be sure to say hello and give him a warm Chisholm Lake welcome! 👋😊

I’m a little late getting your newsletter out this month, but I have a pretty good excuse this time! I was out on medical leave after having an unexpected appendectomy at the end of July.

I’m officially back in the office starting today and have plenty to keep me busy as I get caught up.

I also want to wish all of our kiddos a happy back-to-school week.
